Terms of service

Any transactions arising from our quotation would be subject to our standard terms and conditions of sale, a copy of which is available upon request. Some additional points we would bring to your attention are:

DESPATCH DATES
Unless otherwise stated all despatch dates quoted are approximate which are given on our estimation at time of quotation and are based on working days or weeks excluding weekends and holidays. This may change at time of order and is subject to our confirmation. This also applies to ‘Ex Stock’ quoted items which are stated at time of quotation only.

PACKING & DESPATCH DETAILS
Items offered would be packed and despatched in accordance with Corseal Ltd standards unless otherwise specified. Any special packing requirements will be subject to surcharges.

MATERIALS AND TOLERANCES
Materials offered would be supplied as detailed in our quotation which, in some cases, will be offered as alternatives to those requested for material, size, general aspect or other manufacturers specifications to industry norm standard tolerance guidelines – BRMA [British Rubber Manufacturers], BS3734 [Extruded and Moulded items] ASTM, DIN7715. On fabricated and hand finish items Corseal guidelines would apply. Unless clearly stated on our quotation all items quoted will be based on these regardless of that stated on customer’s enquiry, sketch, drawings or samples.
Please note that tolerance levels are based at ambient conditions and variations can occur in extreme or fluctuating environments, i.e. temperature, pressure or contact with certain substances.
WHERE NO MATERIAL SPECIFICATION OR APPLICATION DATA IS STATED, COMMERCIAL MATERIALS WILL BE OFFERED OR SAMPLES EVALUATED TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE. LABORATORY MATERIAL OR OUTSIDE TESTING WOULD BE SUBJECT TO EXTRA CHARGES BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT.

All items are offered strictly subject to customers own determination of suitability and tests.
Full details and data relating to our standard stock range of materials are illustrated in our brochures in your possession, our website at www.corseal.co.uk or upon request.

Unless specifically asked we reserve the right to supply to within a ± 10% on ordered quantities unless otherwise agreed.

ADHESIVE PRODUCTS
All adhesive items are offered subject to customers own determination of suitability and tests. This particularly applies to self-adhesive tape products on solid rubbers.

PAYMENT TERMS
Nett monthly for approved accounts. New customers would be subject to our credit rating check if account facilities are required. This can take up to seven days for processing. We accept credit card payments or cleared cheques against pro-forma invoices.

Please note that in some cases pre or part payment may be required against Tool, die or mould charges if applicable. Tool, Die or Mould charges quoted are non-refundable and non-returnable.

PATENTS, SAMPLES AND PATTERNS & TOOLING
Unless advised we will assume that items submitted to Corseal for quotation are not patented nor have any exclusivity rights.

Unless submitted with relevant drawings, data or full application details samples submitted to us will be evaluated to our very best ability and knowledge and dimensions / materials offered would be subject to clients own determination of suitability against data or samples submitted by Corseal upon request. Laboratory testing would be subject to charges at cost.

TAXES & CHARGES
All prices quoted are nett and exclusive of Value Added Tax at rate ruling at time of despatch.

REFUND AND RETURNS

Corseal accepts returns for any reason within 14 calendar days in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which provide consumers purchasing online from a business with a statutory right to cancel their order. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing within 14 days of receiving the goods. Items must be returned in the condition supplied and sent using a fully insured, traceable delivery service. Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, the buyer is responsible for all return postage costs.

Please note that bespoke, custom-made, and made-to-order items are exempt from the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable unless faulty. All gaskets are made to order and are not stocked items and therefore are not returnable.

If you have incorrectly ordered the wrong size, you must contact us within 3 working days of placing your order so that we may amend the order before manufacture begins.
