BS 921 ELECTRICAL SAFETY MATTING NEW SPECIFICATION

BS EN IECC61111 2009 ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE MATTINGS

No doubt you are now aware that the new specification replaces BS921 15KV, 6mm 11KV matting, which have now been withdrawn by BSI, these specifications are now obsolete (effective Jan 2013).

BUT – DID YOU ALSO KNOW ANY SUPPLIER MUST PROVIDE TO HIS CUSTOMER (on each DELIVERY):-
1.    Instruction for use (P11 – 4 – 8)
To be supplied with each packaging
2.    Ensure the underside of the mats are correctly marked in the correct colour per grade
3.    Test Certification
It is strongly advised that prospective purchasers, obtain a current in date test certificate of EU origin showing proof test voltage, withstand test voltage, oil resistance - which is required under the new grading
NB:  IT IS VERY EASY TO SUBSTITUTE PRODUCT FROM ASIA
(sometimes correctly marked), which may be dangerously inferior to the safe working of the product.
4.    Both the Health & Safety Exectuvie and local Trading Standard Agencies are aware of these requirements which are far more demanding in performance than the specification they replace.

For the time being, Corseal will be selling existing stock at discounted prices, then we will be launching the new range via our on-line shop.
